The Resident and Family Council at St. Jude’s exists to enhance the quality of life of those who reside here.
It is open to residents and their family and friends and is led by a small group of volunteers from within St. Jude’s community. The group meets approximately five times a year.
The objectives of the council are:
To welcome new families.
To advocate on behalf of the residents.
To provide a forum in which to support one another,
Identify needs and brainstorm solutions.
To provide educational opportunities for family members: (eg: dementia care, coping with guilt and grief, palliative care)
To enhance effective communication between residents and family members with the administration and staff.
